New or re-purposed, I'm looking for art for the 1st Doctor Expanded Universe sourcebook. You can already see the gaps in this shared document (as yet incomplete but we're getting there). Descriptions are included in the text for prospective artists: docs.google.com/file/d/0B4RRnRNaDS5wTzRXdW5CcGZoNlE/edit?usp=sharingA list of missing content follows at the bottom of this post. Art can be made specially for the book (drawing, painting, digital, photography) or be pulled from any "official" resource (the show, book/audio covers, illustrations, etc.) or with permission, be re-purposed to represent Doctor Who concepts (planet environments, for example). I'll accept offers or simply links pointing me in the right direction. Things we need: -Metraxi (seal-like aliens, headshot and spot illustration, possibly their ship) -Half-page vertical illustration of ice creature/Cold Knight (for The Cold) -Fulgurite (mushroom man, headshot) -Greld (spot illustration?) -Latter-Day Pantheon (spot illustration of them as flying superheroes) -Meedla (head shot and illustrated banner) -Schirr (spot illustration from Ten Little Aliens) -Soul Pirates (head shot) -Sou(ou)shi (headshot) -Earth Benchmarking Vessel Nevermore (spot illustration of the ship, I will likely put the picture of a real tree in for Captain Rostrum) -Fragrance (wide planetary environment shot) -Grace Alone (wide planetary environment shot) -Iwa (half page planetary environment shot) -Luxor (half page planetary environment shot) -Typical Spanish Inquisitor head shot -Ulysses 519 (wide planetary environment shot) -Venus, 3 Billion years ago (wide planetary environment shot) -Wouldn't mind aerating the Gadget section with pictures of the gadgets either, want to spread it over more pages to include a Time Sprite write-up anyway. Will depend on the layout of as-yet unwritten entries, but like to need pics of the following: -Dahensa -Masksmasters of the Pageant -The Great Clock -New Bastille -The Time Museum Any and all help appreciated.

A couple of suggestions: For The Ancient and Worship Law of Gallifrey, the TARDIS Data Core has an illustraion of The Worshipful and Ancient Law (from Shada) - the picture is presumably from Big Finish's webcast version. As the two books are very similar, I'd suggest using this: tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Worshipful_and_Ancient_Law_of_GallifreyAnd for the Spanish Inquisition, the Grand Inquisitor of Spain in the year in which The Flames of Cadiz is set was Gaspar de Quiroga y Vela, and Wikipedia has a portrait of him - though as he's in his arch-bishop's robes, he's possibly not a "Typical" Inquisitor: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaspar_de_Quiroga_y_VelaTo be honest, the members of the Inquisition could look like any priest or bishop of the time, or not even a member of the clergy.

I really wish there were a historical illustration that makes them look like Monty Python's...

I really wish there were a historical illustration that makes them look like Monty Python's... This one's a bit more like it - El Greco's portrait of Fernando NiƱo de Guevara, who became Grand Inquisitor in 1600: images.metmuseum.org/CRDImages/ep/web-large/DT854.jpg

Do you think the creature on the Anachronauts CD is meant to be the time sprite?

Do you think the creature on the Anachronauts CD is meant to be the time sprite? Yes - I can't think of anything else in the story that it could be.

I'm something of an artist, I think I'll give the Metraxi entry a try.
Were the Metraxi supposed to be bipedal?

I'm something of an artist, I think I'll give the Metraxi entry a try. Were the Metraxi supposed to be bipedal? There isn't really a clear description in the story apart from their faces. But yes, I think they're supposed to be bipedal, with a resemblance to seals. I seem to remember that at one point the Doctor and Ian put on Metraxi hazard suits and the sleeves aren't long enough - so short limbs.

But apparently human sized, since the Doctor and Ian could actually fit in the hazard suits. Okay, gives me some ideas.

Great stuff Jay!
I'm going to put the entire pic in the text column so it doesn't get cropped by the write-up hexagon!
Look for it later tonight when I upload the pdf again after work.
If you have any other flashes of brilliance, let us know! Oh, and you might private message me with the name you'd like to be credited under.

Still looking for...
Note that pointing me to art/pics on the web is perfectly fine. There's plenty of art out there that could be repurposed for our needs.
-Venus, 3 Billion years ago (wide planetary environment shot) -Dahensa -The Great Clock -New Bastille -The Time Museum
Any help is appreciated, we're in the final stretch!

I'd have liked Venus to feature some kind of wooden city, I dunno. It's a civilized place, it would be a shame to just present it as a natural landscape.
The Bastille was rebuilt but now "dominates" Paris... I'm looking at maybe incorporating a building in a steampunk version of Paris.
I think I've got ideas for the Time Museum that will go in that direction, yes!
Dahensa will likely need to be drawn from scratch. Could just be their head, with composite eyes and a stinger tail that starts at the back of the neck and comes up and around the head.

Writing to all the contributors to mention the dates we've set over at the Hartnell thread.
We'd like to have all contributions by June 15th, so we can release the completed pdf on June 23rd. And from there, we'll start work on the second volume!
As usual guys, let me know if you're having trouble, etc.
