As someone who's been assisting with covering a lot of the Eighth Doctor material, I can reiterate what Misterharry just said. I can also whet your appetites by confirming that on top of Misterharry's entries from every single EDA novel (SO much amazing creative stuff there!) I've helped with covering for the comics; while Misterharry has covered the big ticket entries from them (Izzy, Destrii, it's version of the Master, etc) I'm rather proud to note that my own efforts have filled in the gaps, meaning that the sourcebook will have dozens of entries covering every single story from the Eighth Doctor's DWM run! (Well, discounting two or three one-shots that didn't have much material ) That’s really rather impressive. And just one more reason I’m looking forward to this sourcebook. Especially because I thought the Eighth Doctor’s DWM adventures had some of the more memorable villains and ideas in it. Also means I can finally insert the wonderfully wicked Count Jodfara into a campaign!

Sorry to ask this, but is volume 1 for the 8th Doctor still coming out? I'm just wondering since there hasn't been any activity on this or the audio era thread since November and September 2021 respectively. Fear ye not! The work of the EU project team is much like the paddling of a swan - there's not much going on above the waterline, but lots of activity below the surface! The entries for Volume 1 (novels) were completed some time ago, but real life has intervened to prevent the finalisation of this one so far. But never fear, it will be released in due course and is well worth the wait - look out for Faction Paradox, Sabbath, Fitz Kreiner, Compassion and much, much more. In the meantime, writing on Volume 2 (audios) continues apace - my estimate is that we're between a third and half the way through it. There's some great stuff in this one: Zagreus, the Eleven, Lucie Bleedin' Miller, Charley Pollard... In summary, any rumours of the death of the EU project are greatly exaggerated. I know this a bit late, but I do want to apologize for asking. I know these are fan projects, but I sometimes forget that real life issues can cause delays in these projects, much in the same way they do for a company produced product. I'm guessing this also the case for the third update to Dalek Empire Sourcebook, since Doctor Tor (according to a site that catalogs various TTRPG products, including fan produced material) works in the industry.

Hey, no need to apologise for expressing an interest in the progress of the project - it's always good to know that people are keen to see the next sourcebooks!
I can't speak for DoctorToc as his Dalek Empire Sourcebook sits outside the main EU project. But yes, it looks like he's been busy recently with professional writing work, both RPGs and fiction.

I think it’s safe to say that it’s always a brilliant event when a new EU Sourcebook is posted. They’re a real credit to the boards, I must say.

It is worth reiterating just how much material this book will include, covering so many full length novels, as well as a massive chunk of comic stories and a sprinkling of short stories/audios; even if a GM only used the smallest fraction of entries, they'd still have more than enough high-concept ideas to fuel months of sessions. Even though I've contributed to it, I feel just as much a fan excitedly waiting for it to come out! If you'll pardon the cheek, I think it's safe to say that McGann's absurdly expansive era *would* be where the project would need to have a little bit of a lie down to catch it's breath.
