After posting in a thread on rpgnet I was thinking that we may not see young Amelia Pond again, as the tone of the current series is pretty dark and it's hard to see how she might fit in. Which seems like a great shame as she was super awesome.
I got to thinking about how it would be cool if she got her own CBBC spinoff show, and then I got to thinking about how it would be cool to write up some DWAITAS stuff for such an imagined show.
It's all very embryonic in my head. I think she would have to have some sort of scooby gang. The 'show' could use SJA monsters (which makes me think that it would be cool if there was an official SJA supplement) and The Doctor could pop in from time to time for a bowl of custard and some fish fingers.
This would be after Matt-series-1 resets her timeline and her family are around again. I guess it would mostly be strange stuff happening in that village that she lives in, with perhaps some premise to explain why it's such a weirdness hot spot.
Scooby Gang member number 1 - young Rory? and maybe that other village guy ('the good looking one') competing for her attention. Is it ever mentioned exactly how/when she meets Rory? I vaguely remember getting the impression that he had been listening to 'raggedy doctor' stories for quite a long time.
Any thoughts?

I like this idea. It would make a great game for younger players too.
Plot idea: A dozen or so Adipose babies are stranded in Leadworth. Amy and friends must care for them and keep them hidden until an Adipose ship can come retrieve them. Hijinks ensue.

Yes I was definitely thinking it would be good for young players. Although it might be a nice change of pace for older players too. Keep the tone light - 'hijinks ensue' is definitely what to aim for i'd say. I like the Adipose plot. Makes me think about Tribbles Maybe you could throw in a Cruella deVille style character who wants to carry off the babies for some nefarious (not too nefarious) purpose.

Also I was thinking that a tin dog would be a good idea too. I thought about an 'Atraxi cyberdrone' - a mini robotic Atraxi about the size of a football. It got left behind in Leadworth by the Atraxi after their last visit to Earth. It can do all the usual tin dog stuff like identify the alien-of-the-week and analyze mysterious compounds. Obviously it needs an appropriate name. Bl1nx?

Yeah the Slitheen have opened up a greasy cafe in the village. The Adipose babies have escaped from one of their 'frying medium' deliveries. They want them back. Throw in a subtext about healthy eating and I reckon that's a CBBC-friendly episode
