I like the coin, nice work!
BTW, who are the two women flanking Paul McGann in the logo? I'm sure I recognise at least one of them and I can't remember from where!

Cool. I just feel bad that the Corsair was killed by such a blah villain.

One of the women is Sheridan Smith, who plays Lucie Miller in the Big Finish adventures. Not sure who the other one is.

One of the women is Sheridan Smith, who plays Lucie Miller in the Big Finish adventures. Yep, Sheridan as Lucie Miller, borrowed from the cover of the BF audio 'To the Death'. The other companion's image is taken from a hairdressing website. Apologies to model and photographer but I don't have any names to credit. The character is a Time Lady and I wanted a sort of 70's sci-fi look The two of them are meant to be the companions of an alt timeline 8th doctor in a universe where the Time War ended sooner rather than later and the Time Lords are still around. The image of The Corsair is again uncredited I'm afraid. I found it by typing things like lady space pirate into Google. I like the pose - she looks like a bold adventurer I think. I was tempted to use an image of Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann. Maybe save it for another regeneration.

Oh that was such a great thing in the Doctors Wife, another Timelord in which we know little about like Morbius, and others. I hope we find out more about the character but I doubt we will. Still got to love Gaiman for this!

Thanks for posting this, I'm very interested in other peoples' take on Time Lord characters.

Is that still Legally Blonde?

Sheridan Smith's performance as Lucie Miller was a revelation to me. I never cared much for the BBC3 comedies she starred in. However, I think she is quite superb in the Big Finish audios.

Is that still Legally Blonde? Not any more, it's 'Flare Path' at the Haymarket (until the start of June anyway :-)

I loved her as Lucie. But it looks like I'm not keeping up with her theatre work very well

The new Brilliant Book 2012 has an item on the Corsair's background, written by Neil Gaiman. I won't post all of the info (you'll have to buy the book for that!), but here are a few of the more pertinent nuggets of information: - The Corsair's TARDIS usually looked like a small, piratical sailing ship.
- The Corsair's 4th and 8th incarnations were male; the 5th and 7th were female; and the 9th was "a strapping big bloke" and was the incarnation killed by House.
- The Corsair liked having a cat in the TARDIS and sometimes a parrot; but he/she never had a companion, preferring to travel alone.
- The Corsair never actually fought the Daleks.
- The Corsair visited various points in Earth's history and was worshipped as a god by the Assyrians.
- Every incarnation of the Corsair had an amazing smile.

Guess I will have to get a copy of the book and maybe update the sheet. I like the idea of the cat or parrot (Gaiman is a cat person I think - he wrote a short story about a cat protecting a family from the Devil which shows obvious feline affection). I was quite into the Oriental sea chest TARDIS. Oh well
