A question to all you Classic Who gurus out there ;D
If I've understood things correctly, the Logopolitans were pretty much saving the universe from entropy and destruction, using their CVEs (Charged Vaccuum Emboitments) and the wondrous "mathematical magic" of Block Transfer Computation, diverting entropy from N-space (our universe) to the smaller dimension of E-space.
But Logopolis was destroyed at the end of the eponymous story... so my question is simple: who the hell has been diverting entropy after the destruction of Logopolis (and someone obviously did, otherwise our universe would have been swallowed by entropy by now). Who took the job after the Logopolitans were wiped out? The Time Lords? Anybody else?
Has there been any answer to this question in a later story, novel, audiobook or whatever ?
Answers - and hypotheses - welcome ! ;D

It's explained within Logopolis itself. The Doctor uses the Pharos Project to transmit the Logopolitans' calculations to the CVE nearest to Earth, stabilising it before it closes. So that single CVE remained open and is now transferring entropy from N-space to E-space.

Or is it left unattended - and vulnerable to, say, anyone able to get hold of it and, say, manipulate it for some nefarious purpose? I'm asking all this because I'd like to use the concept of CVEs and Block Transfer Computation in a "new Who" (ie post-Time War) scenario.

As far as I know, the Doctor just stabilised the CVE and left it to its own devices... it's very vulnerable to be honest...

(Back after realizing something of crucial importance ) Another question: Unless I'm mistaken, Logopolis was destroyed in 1981 (Earth-time)... so it would still exist in, say, Earth's nineteenth century?

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't. 1981 seemed to be the critical year!

Of course, if you wanted to have its destruction be retroactive, erasing its past as well as its future, there's nothing to stop you.

One possibility is that they used Block Transfer Computation in an attempt to escape their destruction, but thanks to the ongoing effects of the Master's interference, something went wrong.
