Okay so I've had a few ideas for my own personal campaign and first adventure and I wanted to share them with other people.
The Campaign: In the Void between different dimensions there are creatures of unimaginable size. They are eaters of whole realities, devouring galaxies until the whole of one existence is destroyed. However, they are slow travelers, and their advance to another universe is marked by signs in the fabric of the universe. The sign grows and evolves until it is complete at witch time it becomes a hole into the void to release the creatures into matter. Throughout the campaign the symbol (Mine looks like a circle with a cross in the middle and a dot in the center that grows wider and wider), will appear in each adventure growing every time. It's up to the players to find out what it is, and how to stop the creatures from entering the universe.
Adventure: House of Cards
Our players land on Crotos in the town of Croatia. Croatia's society has a Medieval steampunk feel to it. It's technology is about fifteen to 30 years in our future, but it's society and architecture is still in the dark ages. There are several main areas the players can wander around. The marketplace, the Main Square, the convent hospital, the Church, the Castle, and the Witch's Knoll.
The main plot-line is that strange attacks have been happening recently that cause people to see things, like hallucinations, and they have begun hurting themselves. In their bloodstream is a strange chemical compound a cross between a hormone and a hallucinogen that targets the brain. Unsure of how the victims got this strange hallucinogen into their bodies, the players must investigate who is doing this to these people, even as they themselves begin to see things. In particular if you have someone playing as the doctor, the players will see a man by the name of the Illusionatear who gives them riddles and puzzles to solve that will show them the truth behind the attacks.
So to sum up, all of the people in Croatia have the chemical in their blood, but in most it's dormant. How did it get there? Everyone has been breathing it in, it's in the air. Underneath the Witch's Knoll is a secret facility that has captured these creatures called the Hiin. They are beings of pure energy, and they feed off of mental and psychic energy. They give off this hormone and once it's in someone's body they can turn it on and make someone see something, usually very small and slightly out of the ordinary and they feed off of that creatures mental energy. However, this facility has been sucking the energy out of four of these creatures and because of this they need to feed on more energy. So they produce the hormone in vast quantities and have to make people see more drastic things in order to keep from starving to death. The Leader of the Hiin is the Illusionatear, finding the most imaginative and brilliant minds he could find to help them (The Doctor and company being that of course).
