Once upon a time, in a court on the planet Gallifrey, the sixth incarnation of the renegade Time lord known as The Doctor was put on trial for his crimes throughout time and space. His prosecutor is known simply as The Valeyard...
Last upon a time, a great war raged on the planet Gallifrey. In a brilliant flash, it was ended, destroying all Time Lords... except the renegade Time Lord known as the Doctor.
All upon a time, a paradox is making itself known. For if Gallifrey was destroyed by the Doctor in his eighth incarntion, then how can the Valeyard put the Doctor on trial? How can he ever have?
Never upon a time, the Valeyard waits for his opportunity. He will return to the planet Gallifrey. He may try to stop the Doctor. He may steal the lives of all Gallifreyans. He may do something else entirely. All he is sure of is that he must contiue to survive in any way possible, with as many lives as possible.
Because he's better than the Dotor, that bumbling idiot who destroyed Gallifrey. He is the last of his kind. And he has both nothing and everything to lose.
