A year and a half ago or so, I was running a Torchwood game using modified Fuzion rules. Now that DWAITAS is here, I am converting all my stuff over to it. Of course, some of the cool things I created weren't so straight forward to convert so I have had to create a few new things to make them fit. Here is some of the first conversions, and the traits I think would be as benefit to DWAITAS in general.
Phase (Major Alien/Gadget Trait)
Not everything in the known universe is as tangible as everything else. Some aliens are born other dimensions. Some devices can shift the density of matter. Some constructs are composed completely out of exotic matter. Regardless of the reason, Phase grants an alien or gadget the ability to change it's tangebility in regards to other solid objects. It also doesn't make the object invisible
Effect: Phase is fairly self explanatory. As a Major trait for Aliens or Gadgets, it allows for something to phase and pass through other objects. This doesn't allow an object to change shape, nor it's visibility, just it's tangebility.
Gadget: Niadanac Phase Cuff
(Major Gadget)
Created by a reclusive, perhaps long extinct known as the Niadanac, it is hard to tell whether the Phase Cuff was a failed experiment or some sort of practical joke. A non-descript thin bracelet composed of what seems to be a bronze like metal, with a simple quartz like crystal set on it, it allows the wearer to pass through solid matter as if it were vapor. It is activated by twisting the crystal three times left, then two times right. When the crystal lights up blue it is activated. The Cuff is active for 30 seconds, the blue light fading as it uses it's charge. What makes the Cuff odd is that the cuff itself is not able to pass through matter. So if one were to try to walk completely through a wall, the wrist that bears the cuff cant pass through. If the wearer is phased into matter when the charge ends, they will be expelled from whatever they are passing through like someone spitting a watermelon seed.
Traits: Phase, Restriction (Cuff Itself cannot pass through matter), Restiction (Time Limit: Works for 30 seconds at a time and must charge for an hour between uses)
Storypoints: 2
