Hi all.
The players guide preview says the game comes with special Doctor Who dice. That sounds awesome. Can anybody tell me what they look like? Will we be able to buy extras?
Thanks!

Hi all. The players guide preview says the game comes with special Doctor Who dice. That sounds awesome. Can anybody tell me what they look like? Will we be able to buy extras? Thanks! Don't get your hopes up, they're not that special! They're transparent/clear d6s with the pips in 'TARDIS blue' Cubicle 7 were, at one point, thinking of making them more special (a TARDIS as the 6, that kind of thing) but they decided the costs would be prohibitive. They are quite nice looking, I think, but they're not particularly unique to the Doctor Who game, or anything you need to go to any great lengths to replace if you lose one.

Indeed, they are nice but not essential.
They are there as it feels wrong to get a boxed set without dice! However the main reason was so that when you bought the game you have everything you needed in the box.
Hopefully Doctor Who will bring a few new players into the hobby, and people who buy board games (or any game) expect the box to have everything they need to play (even though it isn't hard to find 2D6).

And maybe the Master's head as the 1 That would have been funny! They are nice die, however 1 of mine was a little screwed up upon arrival.

I have a little concern here. I bought my DWAiTaS core set at Gen Con Indianapolis in August, 2010. After a moderate amount of play (roughly ten sessions) I've noticed the provided dice have begun to crack on their edges. They aren't even used that much either. I give the players a case of d6's to use and save the provided ones for myself. However, I'm now concerned my dice are going to fall to pieces!
Anybody else having similar issues?
