Based on the Stephen King short story You Know They Got a Hell of a Band.
Plot: Hoping to experience some of that small town American life, the Time Lord and his companions land in Rock and Roll Heaven, Oregon. A town that supposedly should not exist. A town populated by terrified citizens and lorded over by the spitting images of deceased musicians. Soon finding their TARDIS immobilised and unable to leave the town borders the PCs must discover the truth behind the mystery of Rock and Roll Heaven. Lest they prove the saying right that Rock and Roll will truly never die...
Note: Yeah, a lot could quite easily be done with this concept to make for a truly creepy and unsettling adventure as the PCs try their best to rescue the town citizens. Perhaps it would be even better if they never find out the exact nature of the town allowing the Whoniverse to retain some sense of mystery rather than just chalking it up to the machinations of some alien race. Alternatively, maybe this is the work of Faction Paradox (who has created this town for some unknown purpose) and would allow for a nice introduction to that group for any PCs.

I'll have to check that King story sometime. Speaking as someone who has been to Oregon (specifically Portland where I got to meet Matt Smith), I can definitely say there sure was a lot of rock and roll music they played there. It was back-to-back-to-back-to-back hit-after-hit-after-hit song. Great idea! Would it be all right if I ran this scenario in the future?

Sure thing. Do tell me how it goes when you get around to it. Very keen to see how you explain it all and most importantly make it creepy. They also adapted it for television a while back in the event you want to use it for inspiration.

They also adapted it for television a while back in the event you want to use it for inspiration. Somehow I missed out on that adaptation. Definitely something I'll have to look into now. I am aware of King being a fan of both The Ramones and AC/DC, hence why both bands were featured in the adaptations of Pet Semetary (at least the first original version) and Maximum Overdrive (AKA The Adaptation of his short-story "Trucks") respectively. It might take a while to get there, though due to unforeseen circumstances with my player that I won't go into detail about. They're fine, but they're taking time off for the moment.
