It seems like the DWRPG releases are coming a bit slower this year compared to the previous few years. IIRC, there were about 5 books released per year for a while, but the Black Archive is the only 2017 release so far, and it's already late July. Is there any word on what's coming along next? I heard rumours of a new GM screen. Any confirmation on that? I assume we'll get a 12th Doctor sourcebook at some point, but I wouldn't think for at least another year, since there's still the Christmas / regeneration episode to come, and I would think it would take some time after that. I also assume that we'll see a 13th Doctor themed corebook, but probably not until after at least the whole first season has aired, so maybe a couple of years from now. Another volume or two of All the Strange, Strange Creatures? Another volume or two of All of Time and Space? (I wouldn't even mind if they just compiled some of the PDF-only adventures.) Anything else? Anything we know, or rumours, or speculation, or just plain wishing?

A while ago, one of Cubicle 7's Facebook posts finished with something along the lines of "well, we must get back to writing the adventures for the next volume of All of Time and Space". So I guess that's on the cards.
And in response to a question after the announcement of Jodie Whittaker, they more or less confirmed that there will be a 12th Doctor Sourcebook. But as you say, that won't be until next year.
Other than that, it's been very quiet. Another GM's Screen has been rumoured for years now (and even hinted at by C7 on occasion), so I wouldn't hold my breath for that.
I think C7 have been kept busy by work on their Middle Earth and Warhammer lines this year, which is a shame for us DWRPG fans.

Yah, I especially imagine the 5e AIME books are taking up a lot of their time, which is understandable - it's probably a good source of income. I don't mind if the DW book slow down a little - it'll be easier on my wallet. As long as they don't forget about us completely!

I can't find it now, but I'm sure I also read some discussion on C7's Facebook page as to whether there will be a rebranded core rulebook with Jodie Whittaker on the cover. They seemed to be saying that whenever they've planned for a new rulebook in the past, they've always intended the cover image to be just the TARDIS, so they're not Doctor specific. But when they see the photos the BBC send them, they've always changed their minds.
So yes, it sounds like there will be a 13th Doctor version of the core rulebook at some point. But as you say, this is unlikely until after Series 11 has broadcast - so late 2018 at the earliest.

or just plain wishing? It wish that Cubicle7 got permission to make a Torchwood Sourcebook, but I don't see it happening. Outside of that, I have trouble thinking of a sourcebook that would have the same potential quality as the others. Perhaps a places in time and space sourcebook, with just overviews of the major canon planets and their histories.

That's totally fine with me. I'm very fond of the Capaldi cover corebook, and think it's the best one to date, so I'm not feeling any big need for a replacement. I wish that Cubicle7 got permission to make a Torchwood Sourcebook, but I don't see it happening. Outside of that, I have trouble thinking of a sourcebook that would have the same quality as the others. Perhaps a places in time and space sourcebook, with just overviews of the major canon planets and their histories. I approve of both of those suggestions! That also makes me wish for sourcebooks for the Sarah Jane Adventures and Class, but I suspect they won't happen, for licensing reasons.

Well it's true that the various supplements already published cover A LOT of ground, making DWAITAS one of the best-supported licensed RPG in existence - between the eleven Doctor sourcebooks, the Time Traveller's Companion, the two UNIT books (Defending the Earth & Black Archive), Paternoster Investigations, the Gamemaster's Guide, The Silurian Age, All the Strange, Strange Creatures vol 1, the "old" Aliens & Creatures boxed set and All of Time & Space vol 1, that's TWENTY supplements already... and most of them of a truly remarkable quality. That being said, there's always room for more Aside from what the C7 licence cannot (alas) cover, such as a Torchwood sourcebook or all the wonderful Big Finish audio stuff, I'd say that the future of the line has three general directions: - scenario books like "all of time & space" - which could even cover campaigns (such as the excellent one included in the 8th Doctor book), including some "high concepts" ones (everything is possible, after all) - "monster manuals" - sorry further "all the strange, strange creatures" volumes - thematic sourcebooks like "The Silurian Age" and "Paternoster Investigation" - and this is where the most original or surprising products could appear A few ideas I'd found interesting: - a book about "playing with history", including descriptions of fascinating historical eras, real-life NPCs and, of course, sections on how to handle historical characters and events, alternate continuums, uchronia etc. - a book about humanity's future (including the various Earth empires and similar political entities), with stuff about the Space Security Service, the Torchwood Archives and other organisations to which PCs could belong etc. - a book about the Cybermen - ALL of them (Mondas, Cyberiad, Lumic etc.) - although they ARE already covered in detail throughout the various existing books - something about... the Time War?

olegrand, I like the way you think. Out of all of those, I would love to see something about humanity's future, especially the 51st century. And I'll always buy new monster manuals!

My guess is that it would simply require a whole other license, which wouldn't be cost effective for a single sourcebook. That, and the fact that Torchwood (the organization, not the show) and some of the characters are included in this or that DWRPG book already, means that there's probably not much reason to pursue it.

I believe The Torchwood IP is owned by Russel T Davies and would be harder for Cubicle7 to obtain. I'm not entirely sure how Intellectual Property laws work so I might be wrong about that though.

Would love a SJA one covering all the seasons and maybe K-9 & company as well.
A PDF of the game screen would cost them nothing to sell.

As far as I know there is more stuff on the way. Can't say much obviously, but Walt and I have got enough to be getting on with for a while Keep going with these sort of threads though, As while we can't always answer them we are listening and we are paying attention to what you want to see.

Glad to hear it! I can't say I've been disappointed with a single product so far. Keep it up! Really though. There've been certain books I haven't been quite as fond of as the others, but there haven't been any wastes of paper (unlike some other RPGs which shall remain nameless...).
