As many of you probably know, Trevor Baxter, who played Professor Litefoot in "The Talons of Weng-Chiang" and in no less than 13 seasons of delightful Big Finish audiobooks of "Jago & Litefoot", has passed away.

This made me sad. Over the years, I had gotten used to wait for the next instalment of the two Victorian investigators' adventures; it was always a pleasure to get reunited with Jago's bombastic gusto and with Litefoot's dry, always slightly ironic wit. Simply put, I loved these two characters - they were one of those flawlessly dynamic duos you're always happy to come back to, like Holmes and Watson or (in a completely different genre) Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser.
Anyway, I wanted to pay a (somewhat insignificant) fan's tribute of my own to this great actor. And since this is a RPG-oriented forum and I post here as a DW gamemaster, I thought that the only way I could do it properly was to tell you about what became of the distinguished Professor Litefoot in my own DW campaign, Lady Penelope's Odyssey.
In my campaign, professor Litefoot eventually left early 20th century Earth to retire on the world of Avalon - the refuge of the Last Time Lords. There he became one of the main advisers of the local time patrol, as an expert on (among other things) Victorian culture, before being reunited with his friend Jago (who also made the journey to Avalon)... and with his secret lost love from his younger days in China.
I just wanted to share this with my fellow Whovians and gamers, in the memory of a truly memorable character and remarkable actor.
Farewell, professor Litefoot.
Farewell, Trevor Baxter - and thanks for all the wonderful stories.
