Good episode, but felt a bit like they were padding for time. The process of activating the Cabinet of Souls was comically long-winded and once April arrived back and heard "Shadow kills petals" I thought it was pretty obvious she needed to call on the shadows to fight off the petals, but for some reason it took the characters an extra 3 minutes. It's not like it was a cryptic riddle!
Still, very happy with the series so far. It's much stronger 5-episodes-in than Torchwood or SJA were.

Good episode, but felt a bit like they were padding for time. I agree. The direction felt a bit off to me and at times I thought it was a bit fuzzy in areas. Still a great episode with bags of potential.

I enjoyed this one. Although it was obvious how the three-way stand-off at the end would be resolved, it still kept the tension going. Actually, was it that obvious? I did wonder whether we were heading for a tragic ending instead.

I enjoyed the slow burn of the petals over the last 2 episodes. A very different enemy to the usual Who creatures. The Governors retain their mystery, Quill goes from strength to strength. Definitely doing better than Torchwood by this time. Man, Torchwood had had some turkeys by this point.

Definitely doing better than Torchwood by this time. Man, Torchwood had had some turkeys by this point. At this stage Quill is the reason I still watch the series. The other characters are almost completely unengaging and uninteresting.
