At the aptly named Point Nemo, the most remote place on Earth, suitable for de-orbiting junk safely away from humanity. So far away that the astronauts of International Space Station are the closest humans.
Interestingly Lovecraft put R'lyeh (where "dead Cthulhu waits dreaming") only a few hundred kilometres away... What else could be lurking down there? Hmmm.
More.

I could actually imagine come a few centuries down the line when spacecrafts become more advanced, an AI from one of the space shuttles being deposited here. Believed deactivated/inert, it would instead become vengeful and resentful at having been abandoned. Maybe it even manages to create a gigantic physical form from the other abandoned space junk and begins making its way to the nearest landmass?

That is a cool idea, specially if some of the ships within the graveyard are in-fact warships posing with weaponry, a Cyber-king-like machine or vehicle made up of old spacecraft parts travelling to the nearest landmass to reek havoc, a kind of metallic Kaiju if you will

It’s merely lashing out in frustration if only to get some attention and because it feels abandoned. With the technology it has assimilated into itself, it probably can change shape although naturally it would retain its colossal size. First appearing in a humanoid form, then as a spider, then as a swirling mass of shrapnel and machinery. A group of particularly bright PCs may be able to communicate with it and calm it down. Opening fire onto it will only enrage it.

Does seem interesting it can configure its form, perhaps living metal was on one of the spacecraft which aids in its transformation, using it as a glue to connect to the other parts, but I do prefer the mass of shrapnel and machinery in a kind of humanoid form enraging across local landscapes in that Kaiju like fashion. Perhaps the PCs are on a spaceship above the Earth watching it happen and doing what they can from above?

Yeah, I could see the AI communicating or taking data from one of the many crashed alien spaceships abandoned there. Enabling it to utilise magnetics or communicate with the living metal with which a few of the more advanced ships are constructed from. Thus being able to create its Kaiju form. You could probably do it where the group of PCs are divided. A few are on a spaceship/station orbiting the Earth trying to do their best to help while the others are on the planet desperately trying to avoid being caught up in the carnage the AI is creating. I could even see one of the PCs deducing the true nature of the AI (that being it has a child’s mindset) due to the fact it’s not even targeting strategic targets but rather is focusing on those objects which are directly attacking it. Or even finding itself distracted by bright lights and the like. It’s still extremely powerful though and will no doubt inadvertently cause the deaths of millions should it not be stopped. It’s an adventure which should encourage roleplaying I think. The AI could be calmed down and rendered harmless rather than simply being blown to smithereens.

Maybe having to utilise the anti-metal or whatever it was in Robot to neutralise the living metal parts and maybe if it were like the glue of the Kaiju AI then it would break the Kaiju back into its original pieces and then could calm down the AI though from there.

Providing the PCs couldn’t find a more peaceful solution, I could see UNIT resorting to airdropping a few tons of the anti-living metal onto the Kaiju. It would stop its rampage as you said, but the devastation would be beyond imagination.

An entire region of Earth being rendered metal-less actually does sound like an interesting follow up to the campaign actually

Something I had considered but what if some point within humanity's future or even shared amongst aliens is that there is a Point Nemo that is within space where spacecraft go to die within outer space this time.

There's actually a really quite excellent DW novel called 'The Resurrection Casket' which uses a similar idea. There's a sector of space where there is a constant electro magnetic field which is powerful enough to shut down a TARDIS and most forms of modern technology. Travel can only be made by steam powered ships and robots are forced to use robotics and cybernetic components which uses steam as a power source. Would definitely recommend.

That does sounds pretty cool! Almost like a Bermuda Triangle but in space!
