So the pre-order copies have been dispatched? Looking very much forward to my copy, but as a Continental I know that I have to be a little more patient ...
Probably, yes - I'm in the UK.
What did they do with dinosaurs? Is this part of the book perhaps an adequate replacement for the Primeval RPG that has vanished from the Earth - probably by a change in the timeline?
The book contains stats for 36 dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures (including a few of mankind's ancestors). There's some overlap with the creatures provided in the Primeval RPG core rulebook (more when you add in the Primeval Companion), but a surprising number of new beasts too.
A lot of Dinosaur text seems to be lifted from the Primeval RPG corebook, but that's okay and fitting. The only aspects of the Primeval RPG still missing from the corpus of DWRPG are the future eras and creatures from the Primeval show and the temporal damage rules.
The Spaceship rules are something that I originally didn't regard as necessary; I built Spaceships in my campaign as variants of time machines, but without time travel capacity, only with spatial movement. Now that the official Spaceship rules are there, I have to say that they are much easier than my own "downgraded TTC" way of doing things. Very well done.
