Have they come up with a theory on how he mummified to that degree in a week? Nope. Of course, there will be a scientific explanation. Bah reality is boring. Lots of possibilities for gaming though; localised disruption in the flow of time, weird-science weapon, aliens (do Sea Devils count as 'alien'?).

In the old sense of 'strange, unknown or foreign', Sea devils are definitely aliens. It's only in the modern sense, meaning 'extraterrestrial' that they are not.
