The actor says he's up for it, but I don't like the idea. The way The Sarah Jane Adventures ended, it gave the feeling that even though Ms. Sladen is dead, Sarah Jane goes on and continues fighting evil and defending the Earth. Possibly Luke could end up working with UNIT? And the Doctor and companions might encounter him through UNIT.

By the end of the final series of SJA, Luke wasn't living with Sarah Jane any more - he was away at university. By now, he could have graduated and be working anywhere in the world! There's no real reason for Sarah Jane to be around every time that Luke is.

By the end of the final series of SJA, Luke wasn't living with Sarah Jane any more - he was away at university. By now, he could have graduated and be working anywhere in the world! There's no real reason for Sarah Jane to be around every time that Luke is. True, he could be an independent player, an investigator of weirdness (like Mickey and Martha), a UNIT operative, a time traveller... Lots of gaming potential there. Is there going to be a SJA supplement for DWAITAS? |

Is there going to be a SJA supplement for DWAITAS? I'm pretty sure that Cubicle 7 have said that their licence doesn't cover either SJA or Torchwood. |

Still, it would be entirely unrealistic that Luke and the Doctor meet up and the question "How's your mum?" doesn't come up at all. In fact, I think that might be even worse than the other two choices I presented earlier. (Admitting that she's dead or making up some excuse for why she's not around.) |

It would be totally natural for the Doctor to ask about Sarah Jane. But my point is that her not being around would be far from an excuse now that Luke is out in the big wide world. |
