I'm a bit unclear as to how TARDISes generally regain the Story Points used per trip. Just like player characters do, I guess?

As i recall in TTC it says 1 story point per adventure, by default. Of course as GM you can replenish whatever amount you like.

If you are PRE-Time War then the TARDIS recharges just fine between adventures. IIRC AFTER the Time War you have to keep stopping off at a time rift [like the one in Cardiff] to re-charge you TARDIS Points. [at least that's what I make my PCs do!]

[at least that's what I make my PCs do!] That's what I do as well (Post Time War). I would also allow other kinds of temporal anomalies and other creative measures by PCs to restore some story points, but stopping off at a rift is the quick and easy way to "fuel up" the old girl... and we all know temporal rifts are almost never dull!
