While The Doctor and other Time Lords seem to be able to run about non-stop without the need of sleep, obviously it's not the same for human, and many alien, characters. So, how to go about getting tired?
In our recent adventures, our Doctor has taken the opportunity of investigating the surroundings at night more than once, which has lead to his finding a good deal of important information. However, our Rose has also been tagging along on these late night wanderings, and ignoring The Doctor's urging for her to get some sleep afterwards. Effectively, she's been awake and active for 24 hours in in-game time (story-time? plot-time? adventure-time?), and I'm starting to consider how to go about the effects of this.
I don't remember this situation being addressed in the guidebooks (though I may have missed it, I suppose), so I was thinking of starting with a small penalty to dice rolls (-1 to start, maybe), then gradually increasing that penalty over time, and finally requiring Resolve rolls for her to stay awake.
Does that sound reasonable? It seems like Coordination should also be affected somehow... Maybe an additional point penalty to rolls for situations that would involve it? Or maybe a failed 'Stay Awake' roll should temporally lower the Coordination level?

This seems to me to be handled perfectly by reducing attributes as necessary.

I too would love to see a chart that shows how the modifiers for lack of sleep stack up as you move into a new day without having slept at all.

That's a brilliant idea. I just suggested someone do a plot that starts with the PCs getting woken up in the middle of the night, and it would be great to have a specific mechanic for lack of sleep.
