Hey all. Well I'm finally getting to run my first campaign of DW. Unlike others, mine doesn't involve a Time Lord or is a UNIT/Torchwood based campaign, mine is based around a freelance team made up of former UNIT and Torchwood members (Torch-IT)
As only 2 of my 4 players have watched DW, I'm helping each make their characters, they come up with an idea and I help them pad it out with Who lore, such as a Torchwood public relations employee who was head hunted by Joshua Naismith, and is now seeking new employment following Naismiths arrest.
The season will be 12 episodes lone so far I have the following:
Arrowdown: Pretty much run straight from the book with a few tweaks here and there. Seems pretty solid for a starter to get people used to the system.
Knightfall (adapted from Knight of the Comet): The team are off to a medieval theme park (we live near one too). There is a community of actors who stay and live in character in a walled medieval town, when the park is closed, and the parks managers have lost communication with them so Torch-IT have to find out why.
Diplomatic Impunity: A secure location on Earth is being used to hold trading negotiations between Clomian and Raxacoricofallapatorius diplomats, Torch-IT have the chance to secure a a lucrative deal of future security details, as long as the negotiations are completed. When a virus is unleashed, the team have to discover who's responsible and more importantly, a cure. This will introduce one of my series main on going bad guys Earth First, a nationalist style party who's agenda is to keep Earth for humans.
Lockdown: During a visit one of UNITs super max prisons, Tartarus -SM2, to ensure all prisoners are having there human , and non human rights upheld, by a high ranking MP's daughter, a riot ensues and she is held hostage. With UNIT having a strict, non-negotiation policy, the MP uses his influence to allow Torch-IT access to make a rescue attempt. What they don't know is that there is a time limit before the prison is sealed and all incinerated.
More planned, I just need to start fleshing them out, plus i have a bigger plot involving the Prime Ministers answer to resolving the recession, that will be the plot of the finale
