Great fun. As well as nightmare fuel. But then the nightmare fuel was undercut completely. Hooray!

Say what you like about the supposed "main" plot, the megaplot parts - and the end in particular - are sending me on another hunt for my socks. Roll on next week.

Meh. Like the Demons Run episode, Cybermen are a filler monster that could have their appearance filled by any monster with little change of writing. There's some cute dialog, but this is obviously their "cheap" episode of the season. Bit too mush "shh"ing - one or two less instances would have made it less cheesy - running gags should not run for too long. Love conquering Cybermen - why not, biscuits can conquer Daleks apparently. Lets not make threatening monsters be defeated by anything vaguely threatening - it'd possibly add some gravitas to the bad guys. Annoys the hell out of me - by all means the Doctor should be flippant with the bad guys - but please, give them something at least vaguely not-ludicrous to be defeated by. Or should we expect every classic monster appearance to be the hallmark of the show suddenly turning into the Sarah Jane Adventures?

Also Meh. Some good bits admitedly, but generally so-so. The lead in to the next episode was the best bit (even if River was obviously in a tank, not a lake in the final shot).
Cheers Mark
