I would love to do a UNIT orientated Campaign based in the Pertwee era. Anyone got any ideas to spark me off ?
I will probably have the Doctor "Stuck" on Earth at least for a while such as the 3rd Doctor was with him being sent on occassional "Away" Missions by the Time Lords.

Anyone got any ideas to spark me off ? Choose a Bond movie with a mad scientist who's got an Insane Master Plan. I think just about any of the Roger Moore films will do. - Change the names and file off the serial numbers.
- Take a few key exotic locations from the Bond movie in question and relocate them to the English Home Counties.
- Make sure that at least one quarry is used as a location.
Shake up the ingredients and (hopefully) leave your players stirred. In short: UNIT are tasked with investigating the plot of a Bond film. Since the plot involves a Mad Scientist, the team's 'Scientific Advisor' is asked to help...

If you really want to get wild and throw continuity out the window, you could go the route of the Big Finish audio production:
Doctor Who Unbound: Sympathy for the Devil (Excellent CD by the way, with David Warner and the Doctor, and Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier.)
In it, the Doctor arrives late for his exile... 1997 in fact. The problem is everything that happened in the series STILL happened while he was gone. So UNIT had to face down all the menaces on their own.
Alternately, I think I mentioned before BBV's Auton series, which features a UNIT Containment team that comes in to assess threats and evaluate whether a larger UNIT presence is warrented. This is in fact a rather ideal setup, as the Containment teams are pretty much self sufficient, and have their own scientific advisors attached.
You could mine the old Quatermass serials for some ideas... or even adapt say, Sapphire and Steel or the Avengers. The Cybernaut stories from the Avengers are ripe for conversion.
Have the UNIT contigent sent to guard a shipment of strange meteors gathered by British Rocket Group... perhaps an alien entity like The Blob could arise from one of the meteors and the gang has to stop it.
Have the UNIT gang deal with 'ghosts' from the past that drag unsuspecting people off to their doom, or an entity that can trap people in 2 dimensional images. Have robots sent to assassinate key industrial and political figures.
One other possibility you might consider is UNIT's predecessor, the Intrusions Countermeasures Group, under Group Captain 'Chunky' Gilmore. They've already faced off a Dalek invasion... ever wonder what else they might have met?
The 60s were a great time for 'Spy-Fi' and you get a lot of gadget based espionage movies. James Bond was mentioned, but don't leave out Flint, The Persuaders, The Man from Uncle, or even the MST3K bait, Agent for HARM. Change one of the villains to an alien, and you;ve got a story.

Some good ideas coming up there - I love the one about being late for his own exile Think I will have to use that to some degree Auric Goldfinger IS The Master ! Now that is a Classic Who tale "No Doctor - I expect you to die !" Thanks guys - any more comments are so very welcome

Several times!"

Surely Hugo Drax from Moonraker is more in line with the Master! He looks the part and its certainly a complicated enough plot for one of the Master's dizzying schemes.

I ran a similar series of games under the FASA rules, set after the Doctor had left UNIT to go a wandering.
With a new Scientific advisor, and occasionally Bernard Quatermass turning up - the players didn't miss a Time Lord presence tbh.
