How do you think you would make Benders from the Avatar: the Last Airbender series? I think it is mostly just specialized telekinesis, but I'm curious to find out of anyone else out there has any inspiration on the matter...

Never got interested in this series, so I don't know exactly what they do, but you can maybe make them all Cyborgs, with -for example- gadget hands which can take control on only one element ...

Agreed that most of what they do can qualify as specialized telekinesis. The "Psychic" prerequisite may not apply, depending on how you want to establish benders in your game.
In general, they have to be close to the material that they're bending, are limited to bending the element that they have mastered, and seem more limited by volume than by mass of their element.
I'd charge 4 points for the ability, and allow some of the following: Resolve + Athletics - Use your element to assist in movement: eg, gliding, swimming, jumping with a "boost" from an eruption of earth. Specially appropriate forms of movement may receive a bonus to their rolls. Resolve + Craft - Fine control over one's element. Causing a fire to dance, the wind to sing, precisely sculpt water for freezing into an ice sculpture, earth to produce its finest gems Resolve + Fighting - Make an attack with one's element (at close range). Such attacks usually to Resolve + 2 points worth of damage. Resolve + Marksman - Make a ranged attack with one's element, such as a thrown fireball, an explosive burst of air, a spear of water or a blast of earth Resolve + Science - take advantage of special properties of one's element. Rust metal with water, make glass with fire, etc Resolve + Subterfuge - Perform subtle tasks with one's element - pick a lock with a splash of water, slowly and subtly dig an escape route through earth Resolve + Transport - Propel a vehicle through the use of one's element - take flight with air, boost a boat with water, power an engine with fire, etc
Especially strong uses of bending can be attempted with the use of story points.
