So the Daleks are about to blast the player, he dives behind a wall. Now I know how many points the wall will block when cover is being used but what effect - if any- will the brick wall have on blocking Lethal damage?

This illustates one of the things I don7t like about the core rules. With a brick wall at 10 points, a character is pretty much impervious to bullets and alien meances by being behind one.
IMO the ratings are too high. Someone should be able to "whittle down" a brick or concret wall with bullets. It might take a lot of bullets, but it should be possible. It is kinda strange that walls have a hit cpacity since the ony thing a bullet can shoot through in the game is wood.
I think the armor values should be reduced and HC used. It wouldn't signficantly change he results when someone empties a clip into a brick wall, but at least a platoon could get through one with machine guns.

Perhaps the dalek could expend a story point to disintegrate the wall with a properly calibrated blast.
...After all, they usually have 1-2 points to play with.
