Thanks C7 stated that UK pre-orders would be shipped on the 9th, the same day they should hit the shops. I don't know if 'shops' refers to just LFGS or general 'shops' like WH Smiths ...

I think WhSmiths will most likely get theres after xmas since they#ll no doubt want tons of copies for there whole franchise of stores uk wide(im willing to bet the gm screen dose'nt sell though) plus theres rumours going around that this is just a limited print run with tennant on the cover before the big release next summer into regular stores which will no doubt have the new doctor on the cover and the new logo.

As far as we know, this is not a limited run in any way and since senior Cubicle 7 staff view this forum I guess this will be an easy one to clear up.

Well, I ordered some for our shop from Esdevium on Monday, they should be in on Wednesday or Thursday with our regular Esdevium delivery (it feels like Xmas!).

It arrived this morning (11th) which is very fast especially considering it was only released on the 9th and C7 have been very busy (see their pinned post) It still shows as 'viewed' but that may be as I still have the GM screen to come when its available. So thanks C7 and I hope you get a good break over Christmas.

The Tennant cover isn't a Limited Edition as such but it is going to be replaced next summer by a Matt Smith / 11th Doctor themed visual core set. We'll be updating any mistakes that people might spot (spelling mistakes, etc) and including/swapping some of the Doctor and Companion character sheets to tie-in with the new series. The bulk of the set won't be changing at all though, just mainly the visuals and the branding (the new Who logo, colour scheme, etc). That's the plan at the moment anyway. It's with the 11th Doctor Core Set that the game will hopefully be branching out into the non-hobby, non-book trade arenas (apart from Play.com who wanted the Tennant themed set) as many of the mass-market outlets like W H Smiths are not so interested in Tennant themed Doctor merchandise at present as he's leaving the show. This *will not* be a new edition of the game, just a visual re-branding to keep the game current with the TV Show. But it does mean that the Tennant sets might be worth a bit more on the collectors market for those of you who pick it up Angus

Play have just "revised" their EDD from the 14th to the 18th December. Ah, well. PDF on Monday. Wonder if it'll come in cheaper than the hard copy from Play One way or another, I'll have this before Christmas. Don't know what my rush is, mind - won't be playing it until well into the new year.

My C7 copy arrived today. Nice sturdy packaging.
Will there be a new screen to go with the Matt Smith rebranding, by the way?

My C7 copy arrived today. Nice sturdy packaging. Will there be a new screen to go with the Matt Smith rebranding, by the way? Seems likely, since it's got a dirty great picture of David Tennant on the front panel. Of more interest to me is the Aliens & Creatures supplement, due in January (fingers crossed). It has no DT (at least, not on the front cover. Internally, who knows ...) but it does have the current logo on it. Will that require a reprint, due to the logo?

Since the rules' front has Tennant and three revived classic monsters, maybe the Smith edition will have all-new Moffat monsters instead? (Actually, I imagine it'll keep the Daleks, since they're apparently going to appear early in Smith's first series.)

I guess it depends on whether C7/BBC want to wait until after the first season airs, or get it out as soon as possible ... Wait, what am I talking about? This is the BBC. If past experience is anything to go by, by the time the Beeb approves a new version Matt Smith will be on his second or third season ;D

(Actually, I imagine it'll keep the Daleks, since they're apparently going to appear early in Smith's first series.) Whoops, I think the board needs some spoiler rules. Not that that one was ever going to be kept secret in the long run, but I avoid spoilers as much as possible and didn't know about that one. Until now.

Sorry. (On the other hand, if you couldn't guess there would be Daleks you can't have been paying attention. )

Sorry. (On the other hand, if you couldn't guess there would be Daleks you can't have been paying attention. ) It would have been nice if we'd had a season without Daleks. I mean, how do you top trying to destroy all of creation? I'd have given it a year or two before they were back, giving them time to recharge the old evilness batteries (so to speak)

Well, they will have had almost two years off by the time the new series starts. (Unless they sneak into The End Of Time while nobody's looking.)

I'd like an entire season without Daleks. I think part of the problem is that we claimed they were destroyed in the Time War. Then, every time they appear, we destroy them again. Its becoming comic book death cliche time every time they appear now. At least in the old series, the Doctor simply thwarted the Dalek scheme of the episode, not destroyed them for the 'last time.' Bah While I'm at it, I'd like to go two seasons without changing Doctor or Companion.

While I'm at it, I'd like to go two seasons without changing Doctor or Companion. I feel the thread is drifting off-course somewhat, so I've put up a new thread: What do you want to see/not see in season 5? wherein we can discuss all these things while leaving this thread in peace and it can get back to its original subject ... if it wants to

Still waiting for my pre-order from C7. The e-mail I got from Angus suggested it would arrive Saturday or today, but still no sign. Then again, there's still no sign of the soundtrack package I ordered from Big Finish last week either, and my birthday cards from a couple of people were later than they should have been as well. I'll just have to wait another couple of days and hope they materialise soon.

Is anyone else in the UK still waiting for their C7 copy? Angus said mine should have arrived either Saturday or Monday, but still no sign. Wonder if it's because Royal Mail are busy due to the Christmas rush? Anyway, if it doesn't arrive by the 22nd, I'm in trouble, 'cause I won't be here to receive it if it's too big to go through the door.

I'm in the UK and mine came last Friday. The order status still says 'viewed' but that may be because the GM screen is yet to be sent. A lot of mail gets delayed over Christmas though so hopefully you will get yours soon.

I think deliveries at this time of year will depend on which mail department handles the package, the parcel deliveries side is apparently abit understaffed for this time of year(or the one nearest me is) which means alot of delays wheras the standard mailmen side of things is running as normal so shouldnt suffer much ijn the way of delays till around next tuesday when all the last minute cards and stuff start to flood in.
