Wow, I'm a grown man and I'm starting to get a bit excited, for me it's been awhile Dr Who was this good, can't wait.

I love that not all loose ends were tied up, and that we had a lead in to the next season, SUPERB!

That was quite good.
That was an understatement. Of intertemporal proportions.
Wow.

All the superlatives I could think of have all been outdone by the foregoing. I think I'll probably still have this idiot grin on my face for a week.

How good? Better than a fez. That's how good. Made the new weebly Dalek work for me. That's how good. Made me cheer, gasp, go "of course!" twice, go "oh, that's really clever".
Good Confidential too, with wince-inducing stunts and Beth on fezzes (fezes? fezi?) and, oh yes, even though this is the spoiler section I will say that last bit from Mr. M. was interesting.

Auton Rory sniping a Dalek from cover was just an insanely fan-pleasing scene amongst many and for me, this finale has completed a great first season from The Moff.

I thought the way the Doctor arranged to get himself out of the Pandorica was a bit 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey' in terms of sillyness (not that I mind, but still...), but overall that was a cracking finale. ;D
Bit miffed that the Big Bad wasn't revealed, but I guess that leaves the Moff with something to work with for the next season, anyway.

River Song's little walk-by outside the hall at the reception actually made me cheer.
Can't wait to see who she kills when she and the Doctor first meet. I guess we're to expect it either for the Christmas special or some time next year!

Given the setup at the end of last week, I did not see *any* of that coming. I'd quote lots of specific "wow" moments but spoilers, dear chaps, spoilers.
From my "genius or insanity?" stance at the end of last week's episode, I'm definitely in the "genius" camp now.
And to have the pair of them as companions now? Superb.

And to have the pair of them as companions now? Superb. I'm of an opinion that this whole first season was just to establish Matt's Doctor, Amy and Rory and the last scene confirmed it. The chemistry between them is gold.

If they re-introduce the Time Lords again, he's going to be held accountable for the amount of paradoxes he caused this ep..
I thought "Bill and Ted" as well - but now I kinda think it's more "Curse of the Fatal Death".
However - again with the time travel aspects, and more conceptual science - Moffat yet again feeds the Faction Paradox mythos there. An escape from non-existance through someone's memory!

I think the show is in safe hands. Furthermore I think this scene established for me that the casting was spot on; age and youth:

It suddenly occured to me last night why Van Goth went so wiggy. One of his more famous works is called Stary Night. If there are no stars how did he paint it?
Not perfect but seems to fit for me.

And it was part of him showing the Doctor and Amy how he saw the world when he was holding their hands and staring up at the sky. There may have very well been a telpathic connection with the Doctor at that time.

The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang are now my favorite season finales on the new era.
Now if we can just keep this cast through all of series 6, i'll be very happy indeed.
