Thought I'd set the ball rolling. I'm Doctor Flea (aka The Acrobatic Flea from the Cubicle 7 boards and elsewhere); I'm 43, a long-time Who fan and long-time RPG fan and I write a daily blog at www.heropress.net which - among other things - reviews Doctor Who, reports on games I've played and generally covers my little corner of geekdom. All are welcome!

I'm Rassilon alias Ian (Seven from the Cubicle 7 forums). My role here is purely as a mature, benevolent and ego-less administrator and not a power-crazed ruthless despot.
I'm 43, live in the UK and have been watching the show since 1967 (!) and gaming since 1984 (Call Of Cthulhu was my first RPG).
I'm definately a hard-core Who fan and long-time Gamemaster.

I bought Tomb Of The Cybermen on DVD and saw the scene where the Cyberman slides out on the 'target range' and thought 'Oh my God - I've seen this'. Date aired: September 2 to September 23 1967.

I have vivid childhood memories of the giant slugs (Green Death) and blue crystals (Planet Of The Spiders), but, while I was a general sci-fi geek growing up, my main focus was on Star Wars .
I was an enthusiastic, but casual, viewer of Doctor Who when it was originally on and got several video cassettes and at least one Big Finish audio after the TV show went off the air, but it took RTD's regeneration of the show to really reignite my enthusiasm for the show and to revisit it through more mature eyes.
For instance, only recently, have I started reading the old BBC & Virgin "Missing Adventures"/"New Adventures"/"Eighth Doctor" books... and I'm loving them!

Hiya I'm Andy, and I'm lucky enough to be one of the writers of the game (although not the main one by any stretch!). I also run Victoriana for C7. Other than that I'm a huge fan like everyone else

I'm Kit. I've been a journalist, a political consultant, a private investigator, and now teach high school in Las Vegas. I've been involved with RPGs since the 70s. I was fortunate to be one of the playtesters and appreciate Ian creating this forum.

I'm Allen Shock, a 48 year old fan from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. I've enjoyed Doctor Who since my friend John introduced me to the show with the broadcast of it's 20th Anniversary show "The Five Doctors". I did watch some of Tom Baker's episodes but "my" Doctor was Peter Davison...well until the new series came along I also was fortunate enough to be a playtester on this project. I've been a gamer since 1979 and have owned both previous Doctor Who RPGs.

Thanks to Ian for starting up this forum, hope everyone has fun with it!!!

Hi all,
I'm Mike, 45, a gamer since 1977 and DW fan for as long as I can remember (I have very vague memories of Hartnell and some fairly clear memories of Troughton, The Dominators, The Mind Robbers and a few more). All that said, Jon Pertwee was my Doctor. I met him back when I was a child and he was still the Doctor. That made my year.
Games-wise I've played both previous rpgs along with loads of DW boardgames, miniatures games etc.

Hi everyone,
CharlieBananas here, 43 and a long time Who fan (Troughton was the start for me). Been into RPGs since the late 70's and am looking forward to this game.

Hello. I've been a fan of the show since Destiny of the Daleks episode 1 and I've been roleplaying since time immemorial (I've still got the really old FASA Who RPG from when Adam was a lad).

Hi all. I'll most likely be lurking most of the time, but I may materialize now and then. My first exposure to Doctor Who was actually the novelization of Day of the Daleks. My area of the States didn't show Doctor Who until pretty much the 80s. Peter Davison fan, though my first Doctor was Tom Baker.
I ran the FASA Doctor Who RPG for many many many years, so I'm very curious to see what this one is like. I've already got my Campaign idea set, and 34 adventure seeds, so I'm waiting breathlessly...

Jaysun...28, been roleplaying for roughly...18 years. Long time Doctor Who fan, I have both the FASA Who game & Time Lord (though I must confess never played either). I currently play Call of Cthulhu, and Supernatural. The last year or so I have been working on an unofficial Who supplement to bring aspects of Doctor Who into Call of Cthulhu.
In the past I have played both Star Wars both d6 & d20 (prefer d6). Got the new Who on pre-order, ready to dive in and start playing.
Favorite episode...Horror of Fang Rock
You can also find me over at Cubicle 7, Cortex system, & RPG.net as "Jaysun" and "Jaysun81" at Yog-Sothoth.

I'm Rob, aka Eternally Lost Zeppo. I'll be 26 in December, and I've been roleplaying for about six to eight years. I'm a Film and Media graduate currently unemployed and filling what time I don't spend looking for work by writing scripts and prose, RPing online and in RL, and planning games for the university RP society.
I shamefully admit to having been too scared to watch Doctor Who when I was a kid - back when the original series was still airing on TV - but I got into it when the new series began, and I've also been enjoying catching up on the classic episodes I can find online, as well as the Big Finish audioplays.
At some point I'll get round to writing a script of my own for Doctor Who, or a short novel. Whether I'll be able to do anything with the piece once its done is another matter, but it'll still be worth doing just for the fun of it. Even if nobody ever sees it. >_>;

I'm THE \/ince (Vince to anyone who knows me well enough).
I'm a huge Who fan (I was born in '79 and grew up with bits of the Davidson era and then BakerC and McCoy), and have been playing rpg's since I was 14 (almost 16 years now) when Warhammer Quest came out from Games Workshop.
I currently GM a Star Wars game with friends, but really, really, really, REALLY want to play or GM in a Doctor Who game.

Ok, it seems I might be the youngest member to post in this topic (yet anyway). I'm a big fan of Dr. Who, although I discovered it only 4 years ago. I'm trying to find as many old serials as possible, to get to know the show's history better, but it isn't easy, what with living in a part of world that has yet to embrace the Timelord. I've been an active gamer, and gamemaster, for about 11 years now, and I've tried a lot of games( last time I counted I own 23 different gamesystems), and I can't wait to get my hands on this one

Oh, what country are you in, then?
I'd say don't try and take it all in at once! The best place to start is by admitting that you'll probably never experience all of it. But you're starting in the best place, with the TV episodes.
Of course, there's almost 50 years worth of TV serials alone (156 stories - if you count Trial Of A Timelord as a single story, I think. Not all of which are on DVD and many of the earlier ones are lost, probably forever), before you get into the audio plays (Big Finish, Magic Bullet, BBV), spin-off video/DVD serials, books (Virgin, BBC etc for previous Doctors, BBC for current Doctor(s) and numerous spin-offs) etc.
This is a lifetime commitment you've signed up for (as I'm beginning to realise!) and sadly - as far as I am aware - none of us actually has time travel capability, which is probably the only way we'll ever absorb every single molecule of Doctor Who that has been produced across all variety of media in one lifetime!

I'm living in Sweden. One of our public service channels decided to run the first season of the new series, and also releassed it on dvd. but they won't go any further than that. Whenever I'm in the UK, I buy some old dvds, so far I've got "Robot", "Genesis of the Daleks", "Destiny of the Daleks" and "resurrection of the Daleks". My GF buys the books, I don't know how many we have together, but I own 2 of the new books, and three with the 8th Doctor. i know it's a life-long commitment, but I'm fine with that.

Hullo, folks,
My name is John Kahane, I'm 54 years old, live in Ottawa, Ontario (that's in Canada for those who don't know), and have been a Doctor Who fan since the beginning. I was one of the 8-year-olds cowering behind the couch when the Daleks made their first ever appearance. I am a die-hard fan of the first two Doctors, William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton, and adored their time on the series. Back in the days when stories spanned hours (notice the plural) and production values were...well, what they were in the 1960's.
I've been a fan of DOCTOR WHO in the roleplaying game sense since the original rpg came out, and while I've been a fan of the Ubiquity system (used by HOLLOW EARTH EXPEDITION and DESOLATION) and even stattted up Daleks for HEX, it's lovely to have a new DW rpg, one that I hope will be around for a long time. Now to see the boxed set for Classic Who!

Hmm, I'm surprised I haven't put an entry in this thread yet.. Hardcore Who fan, but more interested the Faction Paradox alternate setting - I've read very few DW novels (aside from some of the recent new series ones), and about half the FP ones - the odd New Adventure. I had nightmares over the rats in Talons of Weng Chiang as a child and was not allowed to watch Doctor Who after that, so my education is a bit spotty and I catch up when I can as an adult through DVDs and the internet. I may look into the novelisations for the lost episodes as well. I'm a metalibrarian (or as near as one if the title ever existed) - I work in a library and fiddle with metadata. For fun, I set up wikis for RPGs and fan reasons, fiddle with PHP, photoshop, DAZ and Lightwave and make the occasional game (board, card, RPG or webbased computer game). I've had quite a few discussions with how to roleplay DW, and have collected various thing from around the internet. Oh, and I'm 39, my Doctor is the third, my favourite ep is City of Death (although the plot is used too often elsewhere) and I live in Canberra, Australia

Hi all.
I'm Colin, 36 and from the UK. Been a long time Who fan ever since I was hiding behind the sofa from the daleks as a kid. I am an experienced roleplayer, with D&D, Call of Cthulhu and Vampire as my main games, but I have tried or own most others out there.

I'm Rafe (Trevellian is my main WoW character, and I've taken to using the name on boards etc). I'm 34, and work as a trainer for an IT research company. I've been a Doctor Who fan since I was little - as I mentioned in another thread, the first Who villain I clearly remember is the Nimon. I'm a fan of the Big Finish CDs and am busy plugging holes in my collection (currently listening-wise I'm up to Omega).
I've been playing RPGs since I was about ten starting with D&D (fell into that due to an early fascination with Fighting Fantasy books, like many my age I guess) and have played/GM'd many other games since and own far more (too many RPGs, not enough time) - though I've never managed to pick up any of the older Who RPGs (downloaded the now-free Timelord recently though).

Hi all! I'm Chant, from New York City in the U.S.A. I turned 45 today, and thought I'd celebrate by finding this board and signing up. I'm an actor, writer & musician, among other things. I've been gaming since D&D came in a box with light blue covers, and am patiently awaiting the release of DWAITAS in America.
Also, I'll likely be nosing about asking anyone if they need a player for a PbP.

I had not seen this topic !
So, I am Jaina, I am almost 26 years old and I live in France near Paris. I have been a role player for 12 years now !
Here, the series is not very well known (it is broadcasted on a small channel and the DVDs are very poorly done) but there is a small community of geeks interested in it.
I discovered the series one year and a half ago with the reboot of 2005. Since then, I have all of the new series (I am a David Tennant fan ! ), I have a subscription to Doctor Who Magazine, I have bought comics, audio, action figures ... I have seen some episodes of the classic series as well. An absolute fan !
I love the limitless potentiality of the series, the British humour, the actors ...
And, of course, as a gamer, I had to buy the RPG ! It is very nice to have a forum for the game as well !

Hello fellow Whovians.
My name is Donna and I am a 21 year old full and part time university student in the not so sunny Glasgow, Scotland.
I have been into Doctor Who even since I watched re-runs of the older seasons on what used to be known as UK Gold (now known as G.O.L.D) and got into the new series as soon as I found out that it was going to be happening.
My favourite doctors are Tom Baker and David Tennant, though I generally enjoy watching all of the doctors.
I haven't picked up my copy of the book yet, but I plan to! So meanwhile, I am going to be here and telling you guys my ideas for when I do get the book.

Hi, I'm Paul Baldowski. I'm 37 years old and live in the UK. I've watched Who since the Baker era - with the first clear recollection being 'The Horns of Nimon'. I have been roleplaying since 1982 and I have all versions of the Doctor Who RPG - including all three versions FASAs. I have enough RPGs to make listing them an onerous task. I have a soft spot for the later Sylvester McCoy stories.
